We are seeking an experienced Senior MRI Radiographer to join the team in our new clinic in Portlaoise.

We are seeking an experienced Senior MRI Radiographer to join the team in our new clinic in Portlaoise. They will lead and support the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a safe and compliant MRI environment. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who excels in patient care, technical expertise, and service development.
Job requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and assess routine and complex MRI scans with a focus on image quality and patient safety.
Use clinical judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings and optimize scan parameters accordingly.
Ensure MRI safety compliance, including SAR and RF deposition guidelines.
Manage equipment operations, scheduling, maintenance, and reporting of technical issues.
Oversee MRI referral protocol compliance, ensuring appropriate clinical information is obtained and urgent requests are prioritized.
Maintain patient-centered care, ensuring informed consent and comfort throughout the scanning process.
Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize imaging efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in staff training, clinical audits, and quality assurance processes to maintain best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
BSc in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent recognized qualification.
CORU Registration (mandatory).
6+ years post-graduation experience in MRI (or 3 years with specialized MRI training).
Extensive experience in MRI routine and complex scanning techniques.
