Lead Sonographer- Dublin

The business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries centres' around the country, offering a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers and other organisations.

We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced Sonographer to take the next step in their career as a Lead Sonographer across our Dublin services.

In this key role, you will oversee and manage the ultrasound department while performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining optimal operational efficiency. You will lead a team of sonographers, supervise daily operations, and uphold quality standards in line with best practices in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Independent operation of ultrasound equipment

• Daily operations oversight

• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

• Continuous professional development.

• Clinical assessment

• Policy adherence

• Sonographic analysis

• Collaboration with reporting radiologists

• Work schedule coordination

• Patient care and safety

• Equipment and work area management

• Other duties:

  • Conduct interviews and select appropriate candidates.

  • Provide training and assessments.

  • Working alongside different stake holders in the company including the Ultrasound liaison manager.

  • Identify opportunities in the diagnostic market and assist with expansion and growth of services.

  • Coaching and mentoring sonographers.

Qualifications

• BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or recognized equivalent

• 4-6+ years Post graduation qualification in Ultrasound

• Valid CORU registration

• MSc in Diagnostic Ultrasound desirable but no essential

Experience

• Possess excellent interpersonal, time management, customer focused and communication skills.

• Ability to take initiative and results driven

• Previous experience in a Senior Sonographer or Lead Sonographer position
