The Affidea Group is one of the most successful European healthcare diagnostics imaging company. We have 400 staff within our Irish clinics, where the business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries centre's around the country, offering a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers and other organisations.

Our HR Team is growing and we are now seeking an Employee Relations Officer to join The Affidea Group. 

The Employee Relations Officer is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies, and addressing workplace concerns effectively. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in employment law to support organizational culture and employee satisfaction.

Job requirements

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution 

  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution of workplace concerns.

  • Conduct investigations into employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace disputes.

Employee Engagement & Workplace culture

  • Support initiatives aimed at improving employee morale, engagement, and workplace satisfaction. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to create a positive work culture and enhance employer-employee relationships. 

Disciplinary & Performance Management 

  • Guide management on handling disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.

  • Provide support in managing employee terminations and exit processes.

Communication & Training 

  • Train employees and managers on workplace policies, conflict resolution, and employee relations best practices.

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, offering solutions and advice on workplace matters.

  • Facilitate transparent and effective communication between employees and management.

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Experience in conflict resolution and dispute management

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field

  • Previous experience in healthcare industry is a plus

  • Demonstrable experience with Grievance and disciplinary processes

  • Thorough knowledge of employer/employee legislation
