Job description

The Clinical Lead is primarily responsible for the delivery of a professional and comprehensive radiography service and overall daily running of the radiology service and management of all Radiography staff, Radiography aides, nursing staff within the clinic to ensure efficient delivery of services to all patients.


The successful candidate will:

  • Manage, plan, organise and co-ordinate all aspects of the services.
  • Support the radiographers in their duties, training requirements, day to day tasks to produce a high-quality radiography service
  • Provide training to the required staff including radiographers and administration staff.
  • To work with the CSM/RSM and Medical Director, through the Clinical Governance system to ensure the delivery of the highest possible standard of care to patients.
  • Align workforce to customer demands to meet contractual requirements with health insurers and referrers.
  • Profitably execute the diagnostic imaging business with your management colleagues to deliver strong financial performance.
  • Support the administration and operational team ensuring great teamwork with a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and service delivery.
  • Support HR, RGM in recruitment and retention of a high-quality clinical workforce.
  • Responsible for supporting business development along with the RGM to identify new business opportunities through developing new and maintaining existing working relationships with outside organizations, including the medical community, referring physicians, and the media.
  • To support and further develop a culture of continuous practice development (CPD) that is supported by education/training, research and audit supporting staff to keep up-to-date with the latest imaging techniques.
  • Works alongside the RGM and Medical Director supporting a cultural climate that has open and honest discussions about clinical quality and continually strives to provide the best possible imaging service to our patients.
  • Ensuring that radiology staff comply with JCI clinical standards and prepare accordingly for accreditation. Implement and manage clinical procedure and policy in conjunction with senior management team.
  • Accountable for ensuring that the clinics meet its statutory duties of appropriate regulation of radiology services in relation to EPA /MERU Regulation on radiation safety and JCI clinical standards.
  • Implement and manage clinical procedure and policy in conjunction with the management team.
  • Participate in the staff development and individual performance review process.
  • Co-ordinate and manage communication to ensure that information flows freely between your team and all stakeholders.

Job requirements

Qualifications
  • BSc or equivalent Qualification in Radiography.
  • CORU Registration

Experience

  • Minimum six years PQE
  • Have considerable experience in leading a team
  • Experience influencing change and excellence in a clinical environment.
