We are now seeking an experienced Chaperone to join our team in Limerick on a part time basis. Your role will be to support Sonographers with their daily duties and complete admin tasks when required.

We are now seeking an experienced Chaperone to join our team on a part time basis for our service based in Limerick. This role requires Monday availability and ad hoc weekend cover.
As a Chaperone, your role will be to support qualified Sonographers with their day-to-day duties and complete admin tasks when required.
Duties:
Responsible for providing excellence in patient service through the efficient management of patients through registration process.
Greeting patients and ensuring 3 key patient identifiers are checked
Managing the patient flow in line with the daily clinic schedule
Ensuring following day schedule is correct and up to date.
Booking and rescheduling of patients as required.
Assisting with administration tasks i.e. stock control
Providing reassurance and information to patients regarding their treatment
Providing emotional and physical support to patients during treatment
Ensuring patient safety throughout procedure
General upkeep of suite and maintaining JCI standards of Hygiene
General admin duties associated with clear and precise documentation for each patient
Obtaining Patient’s consent regarding ultrasound exam
Providing reassurance and information to patients regarding their treatment i.e. TV scan
Preparing patient for TV ( trans vaginal ) scan
Provide support to sonographer during exam
To set up room following each examination.
Sterilize probes in line with training given
Job requirements
Essential
Leaving Certificate or equivalent
Fluent in written and Oral English
Desirable
FETAC Level 5 Care Assistant
FETAC with Radiographer Module complete
Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Fire Training Certificates
Experience in a care assistant role in a hospital or nursing home environment is beneficial but not critica
