    Affidea UK & Ireland is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Accountant to join the team.

    The Affidea Group is one of the Europe's leading out of hospital care providers. The business operates diagnostic imaging, community out of hospital clinics and minor injuries centres'.

    As we continue to grow across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, we are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the ROI team. This role covers end‑to‑end accounting, including bookkeeping, tax compliance, statutory filings, and financial analysis, supporting the business in making informed decisions and maintaining strong financial integrity.

    Job requirements

    Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with FRS 102, IFRS, and Irish company law.

    • Produce management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, KPI reporting, and cash flow statements.

    • Record all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

    • Manage customer and supplier invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely payments and collections.

    • Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

    • Monitor actual performance versus budget and provide clear variance analysis and recommendations.

    • Contribute to business planning activities by supplying financial insights and modelling.

    • Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and statutory financial statement preparation.

    • Support external tax advisors with Corporation Tax computations, VAT reconciliations, and other tax requirements.

    • Maintain complete and accurate documentation needed for compliance and audit review.

    • Review existing financial processes and implement enhancements to improve speed, accuracy, and control.

    • Support migration or optimisation of financial systems (e.g., Sage Intacct or similar).

    • Identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)

    • Minimum 3 yrs years relevant accounting experience, ideally within a multi‑entity environment.

    • Advanced Excel Skills

    • Experience with Sage products an advantage (Sage Intaact current ERP system)

    • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
